Client Briefings
Our briefings cover topical issues and are professionally written in a language your clients will understand. They are two-sided A4 printed in two colours (dark blue and black) on 170gsm matt paper. You can send them to clients with the newsletter as a supplement or alternatively they can be sent separately with a covering letter. The personalised option is available with a dark blue overprint or you can have a bespoke option in your house style and up to two colours.

Tax aspects of business motoring 2008/09
This briefing will mainly focus on the current tax position of business motoring, a core requirement of many businesses. The overall aim is to provide a clear explanation of the tax deductions available on different types of vehicle expenditure in a variety of business scenarios (unincorporated and companies) and the tax liabilities arising when vehicles are provided for employees/directors.
A summary of the new proposals for business car capital allowances announced for 2009/10 will also be included so that clients are aware of the important changes that may impact upon car replacement decisions.
Family business disposals - the new tax position
This briefing will explain the treatment of various business disposals following the significant changes to capital gains tax in operation since 6 April 2008. It will focus mainly on the availability of Entrepreneurs' Relief in a range of business scenarios and the conditions required for maximising the available tax savings. The availability of other capital gains reliefs where relevant will also be incorporated to provide a balanced perspective.
Spotting fraud within your organisation
In difficult trading conditions with restrictions on corporate and personal borrowing, past history suggests the risks of and incentives for fraud are increased. The need to manage a business with appropriate controls therefore becomes paramount . This briefing will consider how your clients can increase their awareness of the factors that indicate fraud and the defences they can implement to minimise the risk within their organisation.
