We run a programme of open courses throughout the year. The courses are also filmed and are available on CD.

2008 course programme

Don’t forget that audits undertaken from 2006 onwards need to be compliant with APB ISAs and ethical standards. The Mercia audit manual was fully revised during 2005 to ensure compliance with all of the new requirements. Many of you will have attended a Mercia audit manual update course to familiarise yourselves with the revised documentation.  However, if:

you didn’t attend an update, or
have new members of your team, or
simply need further training

this year’s course programme has the course for you. This year’s refresher courses focus on the ISAs and ethics changes that were made to the manual.

Introductory Courses
These are full day courses ideal for participants who are new to the Mercia audit system.  For those that have previously used alternative audit systems the course provides an excellent opportunity for conversion to the Mercia methodology. Courses cost £115 plus VAT per participant with a 10% discount for full members.

Refresher Courses
These are half day courses ideal for participants who are coming to terms with ISAs and ethics in practice.  The course focuses on recent changes to our existing documentation and how to complete it.  The courses are therefore not suitable for new users of the system as there is limited time to explain the Mercia audit methodology. Courses cost £85 plus VAT per participant with a 10% discount for full members.

In-house Courses
If you want to train your whole team at once, why not consider an in-house course. The course programme attached is particularly suitable for firms who have only a few people they wish to train.  We can provide an in-house introductory course for a fee of £1,050 plus travelling expenses and VAT or an in-house refresher course for a fee of £795 plus travelling expenses and VAT.
