Mercia

John Welsford stepped down as our managing director in June 2007. After joining the company in 1982 as the sole employee he built Mercia into one of the UK’s leading service providers to the accountancy profession with over 4000 clients and 70 members of staff. John will continue to lecture extensively on Mercia courses, as this remains the part of the job he enjoys the most.

As well as being married to Lynn and having three grown-up daughters, John finds time to go to the gym, play tennis, golf and bridge and walk his two dogs!
