Our graduate programme provides you with a 3-year training contract with one of the firms of Chartered Accountants for which we recruit. Our graduate programme will provide you with a wide range of practical experience while studying for your professional accountancy examinations; all of which leads to the ICAEW (ACA) Chartered Accountant qualification.

You will be given paid study leave and we also cover the costs of all your accountancy courses and examinations (for first attempts).
You will be provided with support and mentoring to assist you with the ACA exams, as well as being able to tap into advice from trainees who are further on in their studies. This wide range of support means that we have a good track record of students passing all their exams first-time.
The firms we recruit for range from 4-19 partners in size, meaning there is huge scope for you to progress within the firm. What’s more, you will have exposure to a wide range of assignments with clients of all sizes in various industry sectors. You will be given responsibility from an early stage and benefit from involvement from the firm’s partners, who will take a direct interest in your development and support you through your training. Indeed, many of our trainees have gone on to become senior managers and partners themselves.

You will be contacted by a member of the recruitment team via email. You will hear within 7 working days, regardless of the outcome.
Assessment Day Booking
If you are invited to an Assessment day you will be asked to telephone us to book your place. The team member will then take you through what the day itself entails and how you need to prepare. Once you have verbally confirmed your booking you will be sent a confirmation email.
The day starts with a meet and greet as you arrive. You will then be asked for your documentation (original Degree and A2 Level certificates and Photo ID. Please note that photocopies will not be accepted).
The morning is comprised of three assessments; an English comprehension task, a Maths test and a writing exercise. You will need to pass all three assessments in order to be considered for an interview, which will be held later that same day.
Whilst we are marking your assessments, you are welcome to help yourself to refreshments and take a break.
After the break you will receive an individual debrief on your results. If you pass all of the assessments we will then conduct an interview that afternoon, at a time to be confirmed on the day.
The interview will have a combination of competency and behavioural based questions, which will revolve around information given on your application form. We would also recommend that you research in detail the ACA qualification.
If you are unsuccessful at the interview stage then we will inform you within a week. If you are successful we will then refer your application to the selected firm. If they like your application they will contact you directly, inviting you for a second interview.
Top Tip: Know your audience. Research the companies you have been invited to and understand what they do. Have something interesting to say about them and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Be yourself! Whilst it is important to be professional, you must also let your personality shine through. It could be the deciding factor.
The (hopefully!) final stage is the second interview with the firm itself. The style and length of the interview process will vary from firm-to-firm but you will receive further guidance to help you.
If you are successful, the firm will offer you a contract to start at the next available student intake (August/September or January).
If you are unsuccessful in the interview, we will review your application again to see if another firm would be suitable.
